Volunteer
The volunteer information meeting will be held on October 9th from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the big tent on the Port Angeles Pier.
This meeting is an opportunity to meet each other, learn about the procedures and plans for this year, and receive the official Festival Program. Additionally, we are encouraging volunteers to come to the meeting so they can check in and pickup their t-shirts and name badges.
Otherwise, please check-in 1/2 hour before your shift starts at volunteer registration. Volunteer registration is located in the crab central tent. You will receive their volunteer shirts there. Please check in at your first shift each day you volunteer.
There are many parking spaces within a few blocks of the festival site in downtown Port Angeles. Parking will be easy for the early shifts, but we are hoping for a big crowd for lunch and later, so please allow time to park or make other arrangements. Transit busses do not run on Sunday, but on Sunday, there is no parking enforcement. On Saturday please follow the parking rules posted or you might be ticketed.

Welcome to the 7th annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival, October 11-12, 2008. Help celebrate the home of the Dungeness Crab by being a Crab Volunteer , as we invite people from all over the world to taste the best and freshest seafood, participate in the Grab-A-Crab Crab Derby, and enjoy the cooking demonstrations, music, crafts and more!
The Crab Festival is looking for volunteers at the Port Angeles City Pier for Friday night community crab feed, Saturday and Sunday October 11 th & 12 th to help out during the festival. Volunteers clear tables, greet visitors, man Information Booths and selling t-shirts. If you enjoy talking to people from all over the world please join the wonderful group of people that make our Crab Festival such a great success. Volunteers are needed before the festival as help in the office and to distribute posters/flyers, and for setup and take down (Thursday, Friday & Monday) as well. If any of this sound like something you would enjoy please take a few minutes to download this year’s application and mail or fax it back to the office.

The 6 th Annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is behind us and was that fun! Equally important it was a great success. Its success of course is in no small way due to our fabulous group of volunteers. I can’t tell you how great it was to work with such a great group!
I know for instance there were a number of you who took extra shifts when I called for more support or were flexible and switched shifts. Thank you for making my job easier and more enjoyable.
It is our intention to do a better job every year so please take a few moments to send us an e-mail and let us know how we can improve your experience as well as what worked this year.
